青岛猛鲨橄榄球俱乐部成立于1998年10月18日，是国内第一个英式橄榄球俱乐部。
多年来，猛鲨培养出多名优秀橄榄球人才，先后为国家队输送球员13名（其中有3人先后担任国家队队长）；入选国青队的队员36名；120多名学生考入中国农业大学、解放军体院、上海体院、山东体院等高校。猛鲨成年男子队、女子队曾取得全国第四的成绩，青年队更是曾经连续三年蝉联全国青年锦标赛的冠军。
由于在业内拥有良好的口碑，猛鲨获得了大量举办国内国际赛事的机会，近几年承办了亚洲7人制橄榄球锦标赛、国际沙滩橄榄球邀请赛、全国7人制橄榄球锦标赛、全国青年7人制橄榄球锦标赛、全国青年15人制橄榄球锦标赛、全国沙滩橄榄球锦标赛、全国青少年沙滩橄榄球锦标赛等高规格赛事，获得一致好评。
猛鲨拥有丰富的行业资源、优秀的教练团队，以及成熟完善的管理体系，专业队员培养和大众基础普及相结合的模式促进英式橄榄球在中国蓬勃发展，持续发展的理念、合理的梯队建设将保证俱乐部的健康发展。
The Qingdao Sharks rugby football club was established on 18th October 1998, is the first rugby club in China.
Over the years, Sharks has trained many outstanding rugby players, and has sent 13 players to the national team (three of whom have been captain of the national team); 36 members of the National Youth Team Team; More than 120 students were admitted to China agricultural university, the PLA, Shanghai University of Sports, Shandong Sports Institute and other universities. Both Sharksmen’s and women's team has achieved the fourth national achievements, the youth team is the champion of the national youth championship for three consecutive years.
Due to our good reputation in the industry, Sharks won a largenumber of domestic and international events, in recent years, hosting the Asian Rugby sevens rugby tournament, international beach rugby tournament, national 7S rugby championship, national youth 15S rugby championship, national beach rugby championship, national youth beach rugby championship and so on.
Sharks has rich industry resources, excellent coaches team, mature and perfect management system, professional training and popular basis of the model to promote the development of rugby in China, the concept of sustainable development, reasonable team-building will ensuredbetter development of the club.
